About Us

Faith Lutheran Church has been proclaiming the gospel since 1890.  We have maintained a rich and vibrant ministry in the Monticello and Silver Creek Communities for over 130 years.

We invite you to come and join us in living the Christian life together!  Here is some information to help you get to know us.

  • We believe that we are saved, by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, and who rose from the dead for our eternal life. That’s the Good News of God! Our mission is to share that Good News with our community and with the world.
  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and the sole authoritative source and norm for our doctrine, faith and life. Every aspect of our life together—from Sunday worship to youth outreach—is rooted in, and guided by, the Bible.
  • We accept the teachings of the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, as well as the teachings of the Unaltered Augsburg Confession and Martin Luther’s Small Catechism, as authoritative for our faith and life. Our commitment to the teachings of the Lutheran Confessions guide us in our understanding of the Bible and in the practice of our ministry.
  • As a member of Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC), we participate in a congregationally-oriented church body. LCMC is an association of congregations that are “free in Christ, accountable to one another, and rooted in the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.”
